Important First Things!
Submission Criteria

The Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation are pleased to offer a variety of undergraduate scholarships to children and grandchildren of Retired and Associate members who are high school seniors applying for college or current college students. Recognizing the relationship between the National Academy graduates and Bureau personnel, we also offer the George A. Zeiss Memorial Scholarship to children of current National Academy Associate members who are actively engaged in law enforcement.

Each year, the Foundation provides as many scholarships as possible and uses a competitive process to evaluate and select the recipients. Only one scholarship is awarded per student. Applicants may compete in any of the following categories in which they meet the eligibility requirements and submission criteria. The number of recipients and scholarship amounts are determined by the Foundation's Board of Trustees each spring.

Is Your Student Going into a Skilled Trades Career? The skilled trades includes jobs such as a carpenter, electrician, hairdresser, dental hygienist, HVAC technician, automotive mechanic, medical assistant and many other jobs that provide good incomes and are more easily obtained after vocational school or special training. Our Skilled Trades Scholarship is the Foundation’s alternative to a more traditional college scholarship. The application process is the same as for the college scholarships, but with less rigorous requirements and a lower 2.5 GPA requirement. To apply, be sure to check that you are applying for a Skilled Trades Scholarship when completing the online application.
