The Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and the Foundation are pleased to offer undergraduate scholarships to the CHILDREN and GRANDCHILDREN of current or deceased members of the Society. Additionally, in recognition of the relationship between the National Academy graduates and Bureau personnel, we offer the George A. Zeiss Memorial Scholarship to children of current National Academy Associate members who are actively engaged in law enforcement.

Applicants may compete for a scholarship in BOTH the Leadership and Financial Need categories. (Unless otherwise noted, children and grandchildren of Regular and Associate members are eligible for the scholarships listed below.)


Leadership
 
Clarence Kelley & Louis J. Freeh Leadership Scholarships - awards are $2,500
Lawrence G. Lawler Memorial Scholarships - awards are $2,000
 
Cartha D. DeLoach Scholars - awards are $2,500
Eligibility: Children of Regular and Associate Members
 
Criteria for Leadership Scholarships:               
  • Scholastic Achievement (31.5%)
  • Community Service (18.5%)
  • Employment/Extracurricular Activities (26.5%)
  • Leadership (23.5%)
 
Financial Need
 
L. Russell Hashman and Jean Mills Hashman Scholarsawards are $20,000
William H. Webster & Robert S. Mueller Financial Need Scholars - awards are $2,500
 
Criteria for Financial Need Scholarships (same as Leadership, but must provide Financial Information):               
  • Scholastic Achievement (31.5%)
  • Community Service (18.5%)
  • Employment/Extracurricular Activities (26.5%)
  • Leadership (23.5%)
 
Other

NEW! Skilled Trades Awardsawards are $1,000
Eligibility: Children and Grandchildren of Regular and Associate Members
 
Criteria:               
  • Must be able to prove enrollment in a program associated to a skilled trade

George A. Zeiss Memorial Scholarships - awards are $2,500
Eligibility: Children of National Academy Graduates

NOTE: Applications are accepted online ONLY and MUST be completed by the student. The ACCOUNT for each student MUST be in the STUDENT'S NAME. If the ACCOUNT NAME does NOT match the name on the application, the application will be WITHDRAWN automatically.
